On a personal note, I just love it when people get a great outcome with treating their back pain because all of a sudden, it opens up a world of opportunities for them. They can become more physically active, enjoy time with their family and friends, and they can live a life without having to worry about pain restricting what they want to do. It’s really rewarding for me to see.

So today, I’m going to share some tips with you on how you can get rid of back pain once and for all.

Here we go:

  1. The first tip that I have for you is around postural advice.

The first area where people go wrong is sitting for long periods of time, so make sure you avoid long periods of sitting as this puts stress on the discs of your spine. It’s really important to change your posture during the day. For example, if you’ve been sitting for a while, make sure that you get up and move around and reduce your risk of developing a problem with your lower back.

If sitting for long periods is unavoidable for you, then make sure that you get an ergonomic assessment performed at your work place so that you can reduce the risk of causing injury to your number one asset – your spine.

  1. Tip number two is to address the mobility and flexibility of your spine.

I recommend that what you do is a series of gentle stretching and mobility type exercises. You can start off by incorporating a basic routine that is suitable for your needs. Give us a call at the practice if you need some ideas or some guides to follow.

  1. Tip number three is to address your core strength and stability.

By addressing your core strength and stability, you are able to protect the spinal structure itself. Once you have improve your spinal mobility and flexibility, it is extremely important to then progress to strength and control as it is these core muscles that will your keep your spine safe and healthy.

  1. And my final tip for you in order to eliminate back pain once and for all, is to make sure that you have a generally healthy and fit lifestyle.

This includes addressing your diet, ensuring that you get adequate sleep, using a mattress that supports your spine properly, and addressing weight loss if necessary.

I hope that you find these tips useful and that they can help you on your journey to eradicate back pain once and for all.

When it comes to back pain, it is really important that you do have a tailored design program, not just something generic because everyone’s spine functions differently.
